It was September 15, 2024 and as we arrived in Lenno, Italy we were greeted with wild winds; the kind of wind that knots your hair and doesn’t stop. Despite the weather, I was eager to explore the beauty of Lenno and we decided to go for a walk. With my long lens firmly fixed on my camera I wanted to capture whatever caught my eye, even if it was miles away. 

As we made our way along the lake’s edge, the wind turning my face to ice, we jumped back to avoid the chaotic crashing of waves as they splashed the walkway. Once in a clear zone I was ready to zoom in with my lens, pushing it as far as it would go, I began to sweep the shoreline. That’s when I saw it– nestled on a quiet hillside, the sun finally poked out for the first time that day and began to dance on the vastly empty hillside.
